Hematopathology Consultation Service at UNC Hospitals

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UNC Hospitals has expanded diagnostic services in Hematopathology. Under the direction of Dr. Cherie Dunphy, the Division of Hematopathology offers comprehensive diagnostic hematopathology services, including bone marrow and lymph node consultations, flow cytometric immunophenotyping, and molecular hematopathology.

Results will be provided in an expeditious fashion. Verbal results will be provided within 24 to 48 hours of receipt of the specimen and a written faxed report will follow. UNC Hospitals will bill the referring client and establish a new account number for each client.

Available below for printing are our specimen requirements and delivery addresses, the requisition forms, and the UNC patient registration form. The appropriate requisition form and an established client account must be completed for specimen processing.
