ENA screen consists of a single ELISA for antibodies against the SM, RNP, SS-A, SS-B, SCL-70 and Jo-1 antigens. Specimens positive by screen will be further tested for each individual antibody. One additional day is required for testing of positives.

ENA Screen tests are not individually orderable

 

Interpretive Guidelines:

ENA Screen:
<20 ENA Units: NEGATIVE
20-25 ENA Units: BORDERLINE
>25 ENA Units: POSITIVE
SM, RNP, SS-A, SS-B, SCL-70, Jo-1 Ab:
<20 ENA Units: NEGATIVE
20-30 ENA Units: BORDERLINE
>30 ENA Units: POSITIVE
Values >100 ENA Units associated with positive Immunodiffusion results.
