--Red Top Pediatric Tubes must NOT contain Serum Separator Gel
--Results >25 µg/mL are called to physician.
--If time of ingestion is unknown, toxicity can be assessed by using 2 serial levels to calculate elimination T1/2 . T1/2 >4h
associated with overdose.
--When extended-release tablets have been used, two levels should be drawn: the first at 4h or more post ingestion and the second 4-6 h after the first.
