Predictive information for staphylococci: penicillin-resistant, oxacillin-susceptible isolates

Penicillin resistant oxacillin susceptible strains of staphylococci are resistant to ampicillin and amoxicillin, but susceptible to oxacillin, amoxicillin/clavulanic acid, ampicillin/sulbactam, ticarcillin/clavulanic acid, piperacillin/tazobactam, relevant cephalosporins (such as cefazolin, cefepime, cefotaxime, ceftazidime, and ceftriaxone), and carbapenems (such as imipenem, meropenem, and ertapenem).
