Collection for gentamicin peak samples:
IV infusion: 30-60 min after completion
IM injection: 60-90 min post dosing
Collect sample before administering B-lactam antibiotics otherwise levels may be lower than expected.

Effective 4/30/04: Minimum detection limit has changed from 0.1 µg/mL to 0.5 µg/mL.
