CommentsThis test should be used only for patients who are compromised hosts, or who have a history of foreign travel.  For other patients, see Parasite Screen.
Test not performed after >3 days hospitalization. 
One Specimen is usually adequate in most cases:  up to 3 specimens, 24 hours apart accepted.  Only one stool will be accepted for each patient per day.  NO SWABS accepted. 
Stool specimens should not be collected after the administration of barium, bismuth or oil.
